Homeschool Attendance Update

Written by Jan Bryson. Posted in Blog

SG Families,

Please allow me to very briefly interrupt your summer break.  I just wanted to send out another bit of information about the changes for how homeschoolers report attendance with House Bill 283.  I've received a few questions about this and found this article from HSLDA to be helpful.  I'm including the link below.  As always, you are all responsible for sending in your Declaration of Intent to homeschool each year, so don't forget to do that before school starts.

Homeschoolcompliance.com will still be sending in DOI electronically and offering monthly attendance records at the request of many of its users.  I have been in contact with Scott Meadows and he is still planning to offer his services to the homeschool community for easy and secure record-keeping.  All records are archived for 12 years for every student.  This is a very simple way to maintain your records.

I look forward to seeing you all soon at Orientation on Tuesday, July 30 at 7pm.  Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Blessings,
